Granny Ruth’s Jam Squares


125gm butter or margarine
2 cups flour
1 egg
½ cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsps vanilla essence
pinch of salt
HannaBerryFarm boysenberry jam


Cream butter & sugar. Add egg & vanilla and beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients and make
into dough. Divide in half. Press one half down onto base of greased pan 20cm x 30cm.
Spread with HannaBerryFarm boysenberry jam. Grate remaining dough on top, sprinkle with
sugar and bake for 25-30 minutes in oven at 150 deg C fan oven or 170 deg C until golden
brown. Cut into squares and serve warm or cold. Great for school lunches.
